36 Hours in Arches National Park

Rocks can be found at the waterways and crossroads. One of the sites is in Moab and Courthouse Wash joins the Colorado River. The large bridge displays the history of pioneers hundreds of years ago. Arches National Park is located at eastern Utah. and is composed of 2,000 natural sandstone arches. Geologically, the geometric structure of the rock looks like elephants, or god Shiva or sometimes even looks like a women. With all these breathtaking scenes of the sunny day, it is even more important to camp at the Davis Garden Campground, 18 miles from the park entrance. You can also reserve standard campsites up to six months in advance for stays.

Friday, 3 p.m: Camp Registration

Saturday, 9 a.m.: Breakfast at Eklecticafe

You will experience the best moment sleeping inside the tent. The struggle against the cold or warmness, whatever, it is to be remembered when you’re back to home. In the morning, you have to drive a little to Eklecticafe at 352 N Main St. The cafe provides Scrambled Tofu Burrito ($10.50) with Tofu, organic brown rice, jack cheese and salsa wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. With the homemade recipes and maple syrup, Banana Nut Pancakes can be ordered.Also, Bagel Sandwich($4.50) comes with homemade bagel with egg and cheese.

Saturday, 11am. : Visit Canyonlands National Park

There are many other historical places that are important to visit when you go to the Arches National Park. Three of them includes: Hell’s Revenge, Canyonlands National Park, and Dead Horse Point. The Canyonlands National Park is the Utah’s largest National Park and has a three major districts: Islands in the Sky, The Needles, and The Maze. Colorado River Fishing and visiting the Westwater Canyon is the best routine for a day.

Saturday, 1 p.m: Lunch at Denny's

People hiking at the Arches National Park obviously will get tired. It is often very hard for people who do not have physical exercise on daily basis. The three places in the Moab city are very popular for the dinner. Denny’s, which provides American food, Sorrel River Ranch Resort and Spa for posh riverside ranch with fine dining and Moab Diner. Saturday, 4 p.m.: Hike at Negro Bill Canyon

There are several another important place to hike in the evening. Negro Bill Canyon Trail near Moab, Landscape Arch, Delicate Arch, Delicate Arch, Devils Garden Primitive Loop, Park Avenue, and Tower Arch are the popular ones. Negro Bill Canyon is just a few miles from the park entrance. The trail follows a year-round stream. For the hiking at Negro Bill Canyon, footwear like tennis or running shoes are appropriate. Since, there is a high desert environment, a gallon of water per person, per day is highly recommended. The hike will eventually ends at Morning Glory Natural Bridge with 243.

Saturday, 7 p.m.: Dining at The Cowboy Grill Restaurant

Saturday, 9 p.m.: Night with Sound and Light Show

After dinner, there are theaters, sound and light shows, live music, and dark sky activities in downtown. Moab Backyard Theater at 56 West 100 South, a relaxed outdoor setting beneath a big cottonwood tree just a few steps off Main Street. The Sound and Light Show at Canyonlands (1861 Hwy 191) offers guest board, boat and head up the river. Light, shadows, music and the narration tell the story of the canyon’s formation.

Sunday, 11:30 a.m.: Nearest Flight

The closest airport of the Moab is Canyonlands Field. It has twice-daily service between Salt Lake City and Moab. If you are on a group trip, then the driving is highly preferred which takes about four and a half hours.Another option is flying into the Grand Junction of Colorado, which is 110 miles from Moab.It takes about two hours.
